Project Details
The winning design in the inaugural library card design content. The library was looking to find a design to showcase the value of the Thousand Oaks Library or what the library means to you. I created the artwork with colored pencils and highlighted the various opportunities that can come from reading books. Reading is able to take each person into a new world, whether it's learning something new, opening the mind to fiction, or getting ideas and inspiration, books have the powerful ability to inspire us all.
Company Overview
City of Thousand Oaks Library
The Thousand Oaks Library is comprised of one main facility, and one branch library in Newbury Park. The Thousand Oaks Library was opened in 1982 and the collection includes over 390,000 items. The main building was expanded to accommodate an improved Children's Services area, quiet study rooms, and additional seating and shelving capacity. A new 3,600 gallon salt-water aquarium donated by the Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library enhances the walkway between the adult and children's services areas.
